Ingredients:
- 4 salmon fillets
- 2 tbsp lime juice
- 1 tbsp capers (drained)
- 1 tsp garlic paste
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tbsp butter
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 1/4 cup maple syrup (divided)
- 1 tbsp Salmon Seasoning A Spice Affair
Instructions:
- Start cooking the salmon: In a large pan over medium heat, melt the butter. Add 1 tsp of maple syrup to the pan and stir until combined. Place the salmon fillets in the pan and cook until the mixture begins to thicken, about 2-3 minutes per side.
- Marinate the salmon: While the salmon is cooking, prepare the marinade by mixing lime juice, garlic paste, olive oil, A Spice Affair’s Salmon Seasoning, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
- Add the marinade: Once the salmon has a nice sear and the butter and syrup have caramelized slightly, pour the marinade over the fillets. Let it simmer and reduce for another 3-5 minutes until the salmon is cooked through and the sauce thickens.
Finish and serve: Remove the salmon from the heat, let it cool slightly, and serve with any remaining sauce drizzled over the top.
